This approach will ensure that all stakeholders are treated with equal concern and respect. Every client will be given the opportunity to express a view through continuous monitoring of stakeholder perceptions.
Risk Management
Planning, Risk and Opportunity Management
Rodgers Electrical requires risk management process to be followed throughout all phases of the project. All risk assessments must be conducted in a collaborative manner, which is best accomplished, by consulting with interested parties. This is achieved by engaging with our stakeholders during all phases of the project and involving relevant parties in risk management activities.
The aim of consultation is to identify significant potential hazards and to assess the levels of risk and to nominate appropriate control measures to eliminate or mitigate the risk.
It is critical that once risk assessments are complete that regular review and monitoring occurs to ensure risk controls are in place and are working efficiently and effectively.
Senior Management is responsible to ensure that risk assessments (risk register, SWMS etc.) are reviewed and updated regularly. Risk reviews are carried out as part of the inspection, audit and established review processes.
ISO 31000 2018 Risk Management and the WHS Code of Practice (CoP) How to Manage Work Health and Safety Risks forms the basis of the methodology used by Rodgers Electrical in determining and assessing the levels of identified risk.
Risk is assessed as High, Medium or Low using a standard Risk Assessment Matrix shown in section 3.1.5 Risk Calculator. Where the risk is identified in the high or medium ranges, additional steps are to be put into place such as the development of Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) that include specific controls to be used to manage hazards.
Rodgers Electrical project hazard Identification, risk assessment and risk control (HIRAC) training shall be undertaken by senior management including project managers to ensure competence in the use of Rodgers Electrical HIRAC methodology. Project teams shall be assisted by external consultants as required.
A combination of controls may be necessary if no single measure is enough to reduce the risk to the lowest level reasonably practicable.
Various risk control tools as described below shall provide for the identification of hazards and the assessment of risk within the various work activities associated with Rodgers Electrical business activities. All workers are required to assist in the identification of risks/hazards, development of appropriate controls and the implementation of appropriate work practices.
Any uncontrolled risks are reported to management immediately. Corrective Actions are recorded, communicated and monitored via the Corrective Actions Register.
